The Assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are scheduled to be held in three phases starting from September 18, as announced by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Friday. During a press conference in the national capital, Kumar detailed the election schedule, stating that the first phase of voting will take place on September 18, followed by the second phase on September 25, and the third phase on October 1. The votes will be counted on October 4.
Mr. Rajiv Kumar further informed that the deadline for filing nominations for the first phase is August 27, for the second phase is September 5, and for the third phase is September 12.
